Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra® is a biostimulatory injectable treatment made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which works gradually to stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production.

Unlike dermal fillers that add volume directly, Sculptra rebuilds facial structure from within over time, resulting in subtle, natural-looking rejuvenation that lasts.

  • Ideal for those who:
    • Show signs of age-related volume loss in the face or body.
    • Want gradual, natural enhancement instead of instant results.
    • Are looking for long-term collagen stimulation and skin improvement.
    • Prefer a non-filler, regenerative approach to aging.
  • Not suitable for:
    • Patients who need immediate correction (e.g., for a big event in days).
    • People with autoimmune conditions or history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring (must be evaluated).
    • Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.
    • Areas requiring very superficial injections or fine-line corrections (as this is deeper-placed).
  • Before Treatment:
    • Full consultation to assess goals and treatment areas.
    • No significant pre-treatment prep needed aside from avoiding blood thinners to reduce bruising.
  • During Treatment:
    • A topical anesthetic is often applied.
    • Sculptra is diluted and injected deeper into the dermis using a cannula or needle, depending on the area.
    • Massage is performed post-injection to ensure even distribution.
    • The session takes 30–45 minutes, depending on areas treated.
  • After Treatment:
    • Clients may look “filled” immediately due to water in the formula—this disappears in 24–48 hours.
    • Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur.
    • You’ll be instructed to follow the “5-5-5” massage rule: massage the area 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days.
  • Results:
    • Collagen production is gradual, with visible results beginning after 4–6 weeks.
    • A series of 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended.
    • Results last up to 2 years or more with proper maintenance.
  • Yes—Sculptra is FDA-approved and has been used worldwide for decades, both medically and cosmetically.
  • It stimulates your own body’s collagen, so results are natural-looking and long-lasting.
  • Mild side effects can include lumps, swelling, redness, or bruising, but these typically resolve on their own.
  • Proper injection technique and post-care are essential to reduce the risk of nodule formation.
