SKIN CONCERN: SCARRING

For some, scars can be great storytellers and conversation starters, but for many scars are unsightly and sometimes even embarrassing.

Scars are areas of fibrous tissue (fibrosis) that replace normal skin after injury.
A scar results from the biological process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body.

Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process.
With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound results in some degree of scarring.

– Whilst the scare is still red, Pulsed-dye Laser will reduce vascularity.

– White, fibrous scars need more intense treatment.  Fraxel or Mini Fraxel work best.
